Manitoba Schools Rally to Support Specialized Services for Children & Youth

Kids helping kids...

Manitoba schools joined in supporting children with special needs by enthusiastically participating in SSCY's unique "Design a Smile" campaign. Made possible by a generous gift from Enns Brothers, the program required school teams and individuals from K-12 to design an artistic smile. Imaginations were working hard, and students produced smiles made of food items, recycled material, equipment and machinery and the kids themselves!

Creative, whimsical, thought provoking - their many smiles filled the specially designated website. Friends and families voted to determine which schools would receive a special pizza lunch provided by Boston Pizza. The three most popular smiles were created by: St. Paul's Collegiate, Elie; St. Ignatius School, Winnipeg and Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute in Winnipeg. These young people are helping us create a place a kid-friendly place for children and youth with special needs. Thank you for your amazing support!
